What is live illustration?
Live illustration is such a fun, unique and interactive form of entertainment for weddings and events. Not only this, but it gives guests the cutest wedding favours to take home and something special to remember your big day by!
How does it work on the day?
I try to keep it as straightforward as possible.
I will arrive at the venue 15-30 minutes early to set up and prepare for the big day ahead.
When guests begin to arrive, they can visit me at my pop up stand where I will take a quick photograph to sketch from. Working from photographs means that guests aren’t obliged to stick around, and the party can go on!
Understandably, this will be a super busy day for the bride and groom, so when you are both free for a spare minute, I’ll pop over to take a picture and then get to illustrating!
At the end of the day, guests can pop back over and collect their illustration from the display stand. All illustrations will be placed in protective sleeves for safe keeping.

How is payment taken?
Once you’ve decided on the package that would best suit your big day, a non refundable deposit of £150 is taken upon booking. The remaining amount is then paid 6 weeks before the wedding or event.
Where can I cover?
I am based in the East Midlands, but happy to travel 3 hours from this area. For any bookings that fall over 1.5 hours away from my studio location, only the gold and platinum package is available.
How many guests per illustration?
I work on the basis of 2 guests per illustration, but single or groups of 3 are also acceptable. How many guests can be illustrated on the day?Depending on which package you opt for, a minimum of 20 guests or a maximum of 50 guests can be illustrated on the day, with the option of having even more guests illustrated after the wedding (this is included in the platinum package). The remaining guest illustrations, along with couple portraits and cake or venue sketches will be completed post wedding, and sent back to the bride and groom within the 6-8 weeks following the wedding.

Every wedding is different, so there’s a range of packages to choose from at Oak & Scribble. Each package can be tailored and customised to suit, if required.
Bronze package:
This package includes 3 hours of live illustration, meaning approximately 20 guests will be illustrated.
This package is perfect for shorter events or weddings with a small number of guests.

Silver package:
This includes 5 hours of live illustration, meaning approximately 35 guests will be illustrated. This package also includes an A5 sketch of the wedding cake completed post wedding.
If the illustration booking is not for a wedding, an alternative sketch can be offered in replacement of the cake sketch.

Gold package:
This package includes 7 hours of live illustration, meaning approximately 45-50 guests will be illustrated. This package also includes an A5 sketch of the wedding cake and an A5 venue illustration completed post wedding.
If the illustration booking is not for a wedding, an alternative sketch can be offered in replacement of the cake and venue sketch.

Platinum package:
This package includes 8 hours of live illustration, meaning approximately 50-55 guests will be illustrated. This package also includes an A5 sketch of the wedding cake, an A5 venue illustration and an A4 full body portrait wedding couple portrait all to be completed post wedding. This package also includes the sketching of a further 30 guests which will also be completed post wedding.
If the illustration booking is not for a wedding, an alternative sketch can be offered in replacement of the cake, venue and wedding couple sketch.
